Sunslates™
Application:
Photovoltaic (PV) Sunslates™ are an integrated roofing product, which are installed alongside conventional grey roof slates.
Sunslates are installed onto a counter battened roof using ‘storm hooks' to hold the tiles down and are fully compatible with non-PV roof slates and associated roofing accessories.
Sunslates are also quick to install and can be fitted by any competent roofer. Each ‘slate' simply plugs into the next using simple push fit connectors which are wired to the mains by an electrician.
Once installed Sunslates blend superbly with regular, or recycled plastic ‘slate' tiles, offering an extremely subtle energy solution without affecting the colour or shape of your roof.

Features:
- Versatility - Sunslates can be fitted onto roofs of any shape
- Efficiency - crystalline cells ensure high power output per square metre of roof space
- Simple integration - fitted with storm hooks, onto a counter battened roof retaining full compatibility with conventional roof tiles
- Durability - a tempered glass covering protects the Sunslates ensuring long life
- Maximum generation - the Sunslates connection sockets contain by-pass diodes which enable high power generation even when the roof is partially shaded
- Planning permission is rarely required
- Sunslates have been approved in conservation areas and on Grade II listed buildings
- Power output from the photovoltaics is guaranteed for 20 years
